Number of Players

2-5 players

How to Setup the Game

  1. Separate the cards into three decks: Action, Bitcoin and Nonce.
  2. Shuffle the Nonce Deck thoroughly and turn all cards over in a line in the center of the playing surface, so all numbers are visible.
  3. Shuffle the Bitcoin Deck thoroughly and place it in the center of the playing surface. A few things to note:
    1. The best games happen when the Difficulty Adjustment Cards, 6102 Card and the Mt. Gox Card are evenly distributed— meaning those cards are not found together in sequential order. Feel free to scan the deck first to verify this, but just have someone cut the deck after to ensure fairness.
      1. An easy way to do this is to make three stacks and shuffle them individually, then stack them into a single pile with the first pile on top:
        1. 7 Bitcoin Cards, 2 Difficulty Adjustment Cards
        2. 7 Bitcoin Cards, 1 Difficulty Adjustment Cards, 1 Mt Gox Card.
        3. 7 Bitcoin Cards, 1 Difficulty Adjustment Cards, 1 Executive Order 6102 Card
    2. Make sure that the first card at the top of the deck is a Bitcoin Card.
  4. Shuffle the Action Deck thoroughly and distribute 5 cards to each player.
  5. All players may now look at their hands, making sure to keep them secret throughout the game.
  6. Roll to see who goes first and continue clockwise after each turn.
