Tips and Tricks

• Make sure to play your miner cards early so you can mine bitcoin while it’s easiest.
• Scale your mining operation as the game proceeds. Initially, when all Nonce Cards are active, you will only need 1-2 miners to successfully mine bitcoin from the Bitcoin Deck. As the game progresses, you will need more chances for a successful roll to mine a bitcoin as Nonce Cards are turned over due to Difficulty Adjustments. Miners are expensive to operate so make sure you scale up according to how many rolls you think you need to mine a bitcoin.
• If you don’t have miners, it’s time to steal. Sometimes you get unlucky and draw few if not zero miner cards making it tough to mine for bitcoin. In this case, alter your strategy to accumulate bitcoin in other ways.
• Every card has a value and can be sold to power your miners. There are cards that are only money and there are cards that can perform actions that are also worth money, just check the upper right hand corner to see what it’s worth.
• Proof of Keys are paramount. You will find that it is very easy to accumulate bitcoin, but it’s really hard to keep them safe. The only way to protect them throughout the game is to apply Proof of Keys to them. When they are protected the only way for someone to take them is with a rare Wrench Attack Card.
• Satoshi Cards can be played at any time to defend yourself against attacks.  If you use a Satoshi card to defend against an attack it renders the attack void. However, if the attacker responds with another Satoshi card then the attack proceeds.
• Free Energy cards are great to power your miners for free and Energy Crisis cards are great to make it more expensive for opponents to operate their miners. If someone plays an Energy Crisis on one of your miners, the only way to remove it is to play a Free Energy card on top of it during your turn. Free Energy cards are permanent and can only be removed if an opponent plays an Energy Crisis card or they steal your miner. If a miner is stolen that has a Free Energy card on it, the Energy Card is discarded into the center.
